Bias (from week 2) is when our personal opinions get in the way of our talking about the facts. Monday we discussed how unhealthy a personal grudge can be and discussed how grudges can effect our professional lives and reveal our biases.
We took a look at four examples of bias from headlines posted recently in the news. For extra credit this week we'll be taking a look at an article and analyzing it for it's bias. Then we'll be evaluating whether or not we should rely on this article as a source of valid (trustworthy) information.
