Here's a cool quote to get you through the Three Day weekend...
EXTRA CREDIT ALERT!!!!
Do you Concur... or Do you Beg to Differ?
I thought this quote was pretty insightful, but it made me wonder if you understood it. So, here's the question. In the comments below, let me know what you think Conan O'Brien means in that quote above AND if you agree with him or not.
PLEASE BEGIN YOUR COMMENT WITH "I CONCUR" or "I BEG TO DIFFER" THEN look for someone else's comment and respond (POSITIVELY!!) to what they have to say. Sounds like a pretty easy extra credit assignment if you ask me! What do you think? :) Enjoy your 3 days!
Here's our Playlist for Week 4: Foo Fighters - All my Life Kate Nash - Mouthwash Arcade Fire - My Body is a Cage Snow Patrol - Hands Open Metric - Help I'm Alive Pearl Jam - Elderly Woman Behind the Counter Brandon Flowers - Crossfire Tonight Only - Where the Party At R.I.O. - Shine On Bright Eyes - First Day of My Life Ben Harper - With My Own Two Hands Aloe Blacc - Loving You is Killing Me Interpol - Hands Away
We learned a lot about baggage that people carry, what true friends are, the ethics of lying, being patient when things are moving slow and how we're all geniuses!
Next week we'll begin studying what is "Literature" and I can tell you, it's going to be sweet! There's an awesome story I'm going to tell you, you'll have a newfound respect for sparrows, we'll be making creative posters or performances. I'm excited to see how you like to work. It's going to be fun!
The first few weeks are always fun, because just like everyone has their own level of genius and their own kinds of smart, we all have our own style of work and showing what we know. In my class, I want you to know how to show what you know and be proud of it. Because let's face it. You know a lot!
In the meantime, I want you to have a great weekend. Don't forget my little homework assignment I asked you to do. :)
See you Monday!
Here's our Playlist for the Week:

As of right now I'm sure you're reading this to get the extra extra credit for reading the Blog post and responding with a "Hi!"
If you're reading this a day early (which is when I'm publishing it, from the comfort of my Batcave.) then kudos to you. And if you don't know what Kudos is, that's okay. It's an old type of candy bar that people my age used to eat when riding our dinosaurs to school. Don't ask me why kudos are good things to have, but apparently they are so "Kudos to you!"
I also wanted you to know that there's such an animal as a Kudu, so if you're a fan of majestic African mammals then you could perhaps alter the phrase to "Kudu's to you" if you so wish.
I just may change the phrase myself, now that I look at those horns and stripes, crazy.
Anyways I want to formally welcome you to my class and invite you to "Check In" with me electronically via any number of ways this upcoming weekend. You can follow me on Twitter and message me there, or you can email me, or you can comment on the Blog below. If that weren't crazy enough, we'll have our virtual classroom up and running as well sometime in the next two weeks. (It's up and running, but I don't want to overwhelm you with a ton of stuff all at once.) Take care. Hi. Welcome to the class. Welcome to Bowman! I'll talk to you soon.
